My interest in psychology began at a young age, when I noticed that not all of my peers had a close or supportive relationship with their parents. Growing up, I was fortunate to have a mother who listened to me with patience and without judgement. From those early experiences, I developed a strong aspiration to be that kind of listening presence for others.
During my teenage years, I was introduced to the concept of mental health through a documentary on Dissociative Identity Disorder. This show sparked my curiosity about the human mind and made me understand that mental health is important as much as physical health, and led me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Psychology. As I learned more about psychological functioning, my interest deepened into a genuine desire to support individuals in understanding themselves and navigating their emotional challenges.
Currently, I am a newly licensed Clinical Psychologist with experience working with adults, adolescents, and children with neurodevelopmental conditions, gained through my practicum training. I commonly support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, difficulties with emotional regulation, and self-esteem concerns.
My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also work eclectically, integrating techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) when appropriate. I am always working hard so that my therapeutic style is gentle, collaborative, and empathetic, with a strong emphasis on listening and creating a safe, non-judgemental space for clients. I hope that clients will feel understood and accepted and be in a space where they can truly be themselves. I believe that while life can feel chaotic at times, moments of calm can be found when we allow ourselves to pause rather than constantly chase after solutions. Through therapy, I aim to walk alongside clients as they develop insight, emotional balance, and self-compassion, moving toward a life that feels more grounded and meaningful to them.
