From an early age, I was drawn to understanding the hidden struggles behind people’s behaviors and emotions. This curiosity deepened into a sense of purpose when I witnessed how mental health challenges, if left unsupported, could impact individuals and families. What began as an interest soon turned into a calling: to become someone who could walk alongside others through their most difficult seasons, helping them uncover their strengths and rebuild hope.
This passion led me to pursue my Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) at the University of Cyberjaya, where I was introduced to the foundations of human development, behavior, and cognition. As I progressed in my studies, I found myself gravitating toward individuals facing trauma, emotional dysregulation, and relationship challenges. My empathy for their struggles solidified my decision to further my training and specialize in clinical practice. I then completed my Master of Clinical Psychology at UCSI University, where I immersed myself in rigorous academic learning, clinical practicum training, and research. My Master’s thesis explored resiliency among female survivors of intimate partner violence, a study that not only sharpened my research skills but also strengthened my commitment to trauma-informed care.
During my training years, I was privileged to serve in a variety of clinical placements including UCSI Psychology Clinic, Pusat Perubatan UKM, Dignity for Children Foundation, and community mental health organizations. These experiences exposed me to a diverse client base ranging from children and adolescents in refugee communities, to adults coping with depression, anxiety, substance use, psychosis, and chronic pain conditions. I conducted comprehensive psychological assessments, delivered individual and group therapies, and supported parents and caregivers with psychoeducation.
My therapeutic approach is primarily Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which empowers clients to recognize and challenge unhelpful thought patterns while developing healthier coping skills. Depending on the client’s needs, I also integrate elements from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based interventions. With children, I often incorporate play and behavioral techniques to strengthen emotional regulation and social skills. I also have training in neurofeedback, using qEEG-guided brain mapping to support individuals experiencing learning difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and stress-related conditions.
Currently, I am working as a Registered Clinical Psychologist with The Mind under their Employee Assistance Program (EAP), supporting corporate clients such as Accenture and Bytedance (TikTok). In this role, I conduct one-to-one wellbeing sessions, group coaching, and training programs with a strong focus on stress management, resilience, and emotional wellbeing in the workplace.
I believe that every person, regardless of age, gender, or background, carries within them the capacity for growth and healing. Life’s challenges can often make us feel powerless, but with the right support, it is possible to rediscover strength and create meaningful change. As a therapist, my aspiration is to provide a safe and compassionate space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Therapy, to me, is not about “fixing” people it is about walking alongside them, uncovering resilience, and helping them embrace the best version of themselves.
