From a young age, I found myself drawn to psychology. I was inspired by stories in drama series and driven by a deep curiosity about human behavior. My mother recognized this interest and often remarked on my observant nature, encouraging me to pursue it seriously.
I completed both my Bachelor of Psychology and Master of Clinical Psychology at HELP University. My practicum training at the Centre for Psychological and Counselling Services (CPCS) and Serene Psychological Services provided invaluable experience. I worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, which deepened my understanding and empathy as a therapist. Additionally, I conducted workshops on emotional regulation and stress management, topics I believe are crucial for mental well-being.
My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I utilize CBT to help clients manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors effectively. Depending on the client's needs, I also incorporate techniques from other modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
Currently, I serve as a Wellness Coach under the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for The Mind’s corporate clients. My responsibilities include conducting individual coaching sessions, group sessions, and training programs, with a key focus on building resilience to cope with personal and workplace challenges.
'The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and let it come in.' This quote has always resonated with me, as it captures the essence of what I hope to offer through my work: a space where love, compassion, and understanding can flow freely. I believe therapy should be a safe and collaborative journey, where clients feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered to heal and grow.
