My interest in psychology was sparked when a senior in school introduced me to the field, which led me to explore it further. Little did I know that these explorations would help me understand that my journey into psychology and the helping profession had started even before this introduction, and that my own experiences growing up in my family had shaped the way I saw the world around me. My experiences growing up, combined with my studies has aided in my own personal development, helping me overcome own fears and anxieties, and working through the trauma that I’ve experienced through the years.
These experiences culminated in my pursuit of a Masters in Counselling, and during my graduate training, I had the privilege of working with underprivileged children and adolescents, refugees, young adults, and working adults. These experiences involved addressing concerns related to anxiety, career challenges, family and relationship issues, and trauma, all of which I found deeply rewarding and meaningful, resonating with my own values.
My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I am also in the process of becoming more trauma-informed and incorporating techniques from various modalities to better support my clients.
Currently, I support The Mind’s corporate partners under the Special Projects Team. I provide individual, group, and training sessions to help clients build resilience in coping with personal and workplace challenges.
I view learning and growth as lifelong journeys, and I’m here to support you in yours. Whether you’re navigating life changes, working on relationships, or focusing on personal growth, I’m ready to help. Together, we can "live life, learn life."
