Inspired by the profound themes in Mitch Albom’s work, my journey into psychology has been driven by a deep desire to connect with others and help them navigate the complexities of life. Albom’s stories remind us that everyone has a unique narrative, and I believe that understanding these stories requires more than just clinical knowledge—it requires empathy, patience, and the creation of a safe space.
I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at International Medical University and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology at UCSI University to build a strong foundation in psychological theories and practices. Throughout my training and career, I have focused on never assuming that a safe space is ready-made. Instead, I see therapy as a collaborative process where trust and understanding are built gradually.
Currently, I am part of the special project team at The Mind Psychological Services, where I work on innovative approaches to mental health care while also providing therapy and assessments. My therapeutic approach is primarily based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), complemented by techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I strive to help clients reframe unhelpful thoughts, develop effective coping strategies, and most importantly, feel genuinely supported in their journey.
Just as Mitch Albom’s characters discover strength through connection, I believe that by building genuine relationships, we can help each other grow and overcome life’s challenges.
