PERSONAL ANGER ASSESSMENT
From an evolutionary perspective, anger is something that has been useful in keeping us alive. Getting angry meant that lent strength to our ability to fight for resources that would be useful to keep ourselves safe, and in turn, ensure the continuity of our species.
But whilst anger can still be useful and in many ways, a healthy expression of emotions for us all, there are also times when the manifestation of that anger that can be unhelpful. For example, getting angry at being taken advantage of at work can entirely be a helpful emotion, as that would help us be more assertive in looking out for our own best interest. But alternatively, lashing out and shouting at the food delivery guy for missing food items may not be the best application of anger.
All in all, anger isn’t a bad thing at all. Rather, it’s what we do with the anger, like keeping it pent up, or lashing out at everyone and anyone (rightfully or wrongly so), that makes it detrimental to us.
The Personal Anger Assessment allows us an objective means to determine how much a problem your anger is. Your responses would give you to see if you’re able to be reign in your anger in a healthy manner, or, let you anger get the better of you.
