A very happy Wednesday to you all! I hope each and every one of you are doing well and kicking butt wherever you are!
Today we bring you a video by a fantastic spoken word poet, Shane Koyczan. He talks about his experiences of being bullied, and shows us the very real repercussions of bullying. The video can get intense at times, but it ends with a beautiful call to arms, that we can effect the change that we want to, not just for ourselves but others around us. Remember that no matter how awkward or strange we may feel, that we have our place on this earth. Its just a matter of time before we find ourselves.
Bullying is a real and serious problem. Victims of bullying often are at the receiving end of both physical and emotional torment, and these can leave significant negative effects on their lives in the years to come. However, spare a thought for the bullies as well, as it is possible that their bullying is the result of them acting out on their own frustrations.
At the end of the day, bullying is something that should not be tolerated. Not just bullying of the physical variety, but psychological and emotional bullying as well. Spare a thought for those who have bullied or are being bullied. And if you've been a victim of bullying as well, hang in there!
They were wrong.
