Hello everyone!
Goodness me, it’s 2016 already! Sir Post-A-Lot here hoping that all of you lovely people out there are having a fantastic start to the new year! Hopefully all those resolutions of yours are on its merry way to being fulfilled!
Today we bring you a fantastic piece from Psychologytoday.com, and they write about couple myths that we may sometimes take for granted.
Hollywood, YouTube and TV have all come together and conspired to share with us a view on relationships that is far from healthy. We sometimes forget that in these mediums, they have to show how a relationship develops, and is maintained within 90 minutes or thereabouts. What they don’t tell us, between all those cutscenes and flash forwards, is the fact that relationships takes work. The adage that love is all we need is, in all honesty, a load of poppycock. Love plays a role, yes, but to rely on it solely is much too Hollywood-ish for real life. Relationships that are successful are so because the couple has put in hard work to make it successful.
So if you’re interested to see what it is you can do to make your relationship that much more awesome, head on over to Psychologytoday.com and have a look see! It may just be the boost that your relationship needs.
That’s it from us, Sir Post-A-Lot signing off! Have a good week all!
